You will serve as a Chief Engineer in the HAMERSOW of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for the technical integrity of all Technical Project Office (TPO) products, and serves as the primary technical "conscience" for the TPO.
- →You will provide requirements definition, risk identification, planning and test and evaluation support for the portfolio of projects and commodities that fall under the responsibility of the TPO.
- →You will remain abreast of all system issues related to performance, cost, and schedule and keeping the TPO Lead apprised of any issues or concerns that arise.
- →You will represent the TPO team and the command at any level, to any audience, on any subject related to tasking assigned to the TPO.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: 0801: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. 1520: Degree: mathematics; or the equivalent of a major that included at least 24 semester hours in mathematics. or Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in mathematics (including at least 24 semester hours in mathematics), as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
- ✓The total course work in either A or B above must have included differential and integral calculus and, in addition, four advanced mathematics courses requiring calculus or equivalent mathematics courses as a prerequisite.
