This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as an Interdisciplinary Engineer/Architect (Project Engineer) with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District USMMA IPO.
What You'll Do
- →Responsible for thorough implementation of the government Quality Assurance program.
- →Ascertains the effectiveness of contractor's quality control systems, including attendance at preparatory, initial and follow up inspections.
- →Reviews and manages design submittals, performing reviews and coordinating with customers.
- →Performs construction tasks for the District's environmntal and civil works projects.
- →Obtains timely and cost effective projects through contract administration in accordance with contract requirements.
- →Reviews and analyzes proposals submitted by contractors, installation personnel and using agencies for changes to plans.
- →Maintains familiarity with contract requirements and monitor funds available.
