About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is: Serves as the senior civilian intelligence specialist and principal advisor on Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) programs for U.S. Space Forces-Japan (SPACEFOR-JPN). The incumbent is responsible for the expert-level planning, programming, and execution oversight of all intelligence activities in support of the command's mission.
What You'll Do
- →DUTY 1: As the 52 Senior Intelligence Official, serves as the principal advisor to the SPACEFOR-JPN Commander and Senior Intelligence Officer on space intelligence technologies, doctrine, methods, and policy.
- →DUTY 2: Represents the Senior Intelligence Officer and SPACEFOR-JPN/52 at executive-level meetings, Space Staff sessions, conferences, and Combatant Command boards, bureaus, centers, cells, and working groups (B2C2WG), bilateral and multilateral engagements.
- →DUTY 3: As a senior expert, guides and integrates ISR support for operational planning, targeting, and space domain awareness efforts.
- →DUTY 4: Serves as the senior technical authority and mentor for intelligence personnel within the directorate.
