About the Role
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the HQ USSOUTHCOM, Security and Intelligence Directorate, Doral Miami, Florida.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a Counterintelligence Special Agent in the USSOUTHCOM Counterintelligence Operations Branch.
- →Applies counterintelligence (CI) concepts and principles to evaluate operational capabilities and effectiveness.
- →Advises and assists supported organizations and Intelligence Community members concerning the development, validation, and processing of CI requirements.
- →Maintains liaison with personnel in assigned and related fields to discuss mutual counterintelligence problems and production efforts.
- →Identifies counterintelligence gaps, specifies counterintelligence collection requirements to fill gaps, develops tools and methodologies, and analyzes databases to draw specific conclusions relating to counterintelligence activities.
