About the Role
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the HQ USSOUTHCOM, Security and Intelligence Directorate, Doral Miami, Florida.
What You'll Do
- →Conducts Intelligence and analysis and production concerning drug-trafficking organizations and their operational methods, capabilities and vulnerabilities.
- →Assesses changes in drug trafficking methods and develops operational plans and courses of action to counter such threats.
- →Collects, reviews, interprets, evaluates, and integrates data from multiple sources, to include open source information, in the process of analyzing targeted activities and organizations.
- →Identifies intelligence gaps, specifies collection requirements to fill gaps in information, evaluates resulting intelligence, determines analytical approach to major projects.
