The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as a Senior Intelligence Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) Analyst who is highly versed in the areas of worldwide military capabilities, doctrine, and tactics to lead a team of military and contract personnel in the design and development of scenarios within the framework and approval of National Intelligence organizations.

What You'll Do

  • DUTY 1: Serves as a multi-source intelligence analyst on complex technical analysis and production.
  • Ensures situations and information analyzed and produced are not susceptible to generally adverse methods and requires the use of independent judgment and experience to develop alternate methods, approaches, and procedures, if required.
  • Performs analysis or leads teams/projects in intelligence production to support component, combatant command, and support agency planning and operations.
  • DUTY 2: Presents ISR capabilities to a variety of service, national, and coalition customers.
  • Provides Commanders and other customers the intelligence information and analysis derived from ISR assets to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths.
  • Identifies the requirement and delivers a fused intelligence product to a consumer.
  • DUTY 3: Conducts complex analysis of multi-source intelligence.
  • Evaluates both classified and unclassified information to understand adversary strengths, weaknesses, and centers of gravity.
  • Conducts complex research, evaluates, analyzes and fuses multi-source information from all intelligence disciplines, such as dissemination of collateral and SCI data involving foreign air, ground, naval, missile, and air defense systems in the development of joint and coalition scenarios to satisfy a broad range of customer requirements.
  • DUTY 4: Manages intelligence production.
  • Manages intelligence production to satisfy component, combatant command and support agency requirements.
  • Uses a variety of intelligence production requirement tasking methods (email, phone call, COLISEUM, etc.) and then builds production schedules to meet consumer demand.
  • DUTY 5: Serves as a functional authority on ISR issues for Agency leadership.
  • Makes recommendations and defends to the Director and AF ISR Agency staff, decisions on operational policy matters.

  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS.
  • This position is in the Excepted Service.
  • DoD Components with DCIPS positions apply Veterans' Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 USC, in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.
