This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence - Intelligence Analysis. As a Intelligence Research Specialist, you will function as a counterintelligence (CI) analyst, conducting research and analysis regarding CI threats to the Treasury Department. CI threat analysis is focused on analyzing the capabilities and intentions of foreign intelligence entities (FIE) to target Treasury, including the supply chain.
What You'll Do
- →Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.
- →The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13.
- →If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- →As a Intelligence Research Specialist (CounterIntelligence), you will: Conduct all-source research and analysis on foreign intelligence threats to the Treasury Department.
- →Develop CI products and briefings that convey analytic judgements in a clear and concise manner to a broad range of customers.
- →Review collection requirements and evaluates intelligence reporting.
- →Provide analytic support to multi-disciplinary CI issues, operational activities, and education and awareness efforts.
- →Represent Treasury in CI and/or SCRM working groups and other interagency forums.

- ✓Additional guidance and support will be provided during onboarding.
- ✓Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
- ✓Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
- ✓Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- ✓All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws.
- ✓A review of financial or other interests may be conducted to determine if they create any real or apparent conflict of interests with official Treasury duties.
