This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will employ subject matter expertise to lead, plan, and organize the section's daily Cyber CI analysis, inquiries and operations to deter, detect, and neutralize Cyber CI threats against DTRA networks and computer systems in support of customer needs.
What You'll Do
- →As a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (CYBER CI) at the GG-0132-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Employs subject matter expertise to lead, plan, and organize the section's daily Cyber CI analysis, inquiries and operations to deter, detect, and neutralize Cyber CI threats against DTRA networks and computer systems in support of customer needs.
- →Conducts research and analysis on Cyber CI foreign intelligence entity (FIE) and terrorist threats to DTRA personnel, facilities, missions, and programs.
- →Develops a strategic cyber damage or impact assessments methodology on current and future threats.
- →Develops reports, briefs and trains the DTRA community to enhance Cyber CI and insider threat awareness.
- →Provides guidance and recommendations to Designated Approving Authority (DAA) to deter potential Cyber threats to DTRA computers and networks.
- →Establishes Cyber CI education/awareness programs and workforce to integrate counterintelligence equities into all aspects of cyber operations and analysis.
- →Applies SME knowledge of espionage cases and foreign intelligence collection methods to oversee the Section's preparation of Cyber CI educational materials.
- →Personally conducts and monitors the Section's delivery of counterintelligence awareness training for agency personnel.
- →Oversees the Section's delivery of tailored counterintelligence training to the supported directorates and missions.
- →Employs subject matter expertise in researching and utilizing a wide variety of computer and network related tools, techniques and procedures to defeat cyberspace activities that threaten DTRA networks and computers.
- →Leads, conducts, and monitors the conduct of Cyber CI inquiries, as required.
- →Works closely with other network and computer support entities within DTRA such as the Information Technology Directorate (J6), Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC), Information Assurance, and Cyber Security groups to assess computer related incidents for counterintelligence and network defense indicators.
