About the Role

There is one vacancy available in one of the following potential duty locations: Denver, CO/ Fort Collins, CO/ Lakewood, CO/ Kansas City, MO This position is located at Office of the Chief Information Officer Client Experience Center - CEC. This is not a remote position. You will be required to be in your duty station office per CEC telework policy.

What You'll Do

  • As an Information Technology Specialist (SYSADMIN), you will: Serves as the technical authority for evaluating CEC projects for compliance with USDA and enterprise IT architecture standards.
  • Provides expert recommendations on architectural modifications, system enhancements, and technology selections to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and strategically aligned.
  • Coordinate with other offices to achieve integrated systems administration for information system design and development.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across CEC, agency partners, and enterprise technical teams to design and recommend improvements to applications, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and proposes innovative, practical, and forward-leaning technological advancements for consideration in future CEC design and implementation cycles.
  • Serves as a technical expert in the design, acquisition, implementation, and operation of Microsoft operating system platforms and associated Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software.
  • Identifies emerging technical risks, system vulnerabilities, and infrastructure concerns across hardware, operating systems, software platforms, and complex systems integrations.
