The Chief Information Office (CIO) manages the Information Resources environment for the Forest Service. The incumbent is responsible for facilitating the coordination with field and Forest Service leadership for all information technology infrastructure, business applications, and information management services. What You'll Do
- →Plan, coordinate and install applications, software, and hardware for numerous operating systems.
- →Survey system operations to identify and anticipate potential problems.
- →Ensures adherence to maintenance and upgrade procedures to minimize disruption to business functions.
- →Provides assistance and support to resolve problems or provide an understanding of available tools to accomplish problem resolution.
- →Coordinates with other information technology specialists and management to identify and correct unprecedented problems.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
