This position is located within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and serves as the Agency's senior Information Technology Specialist for Library Services, Knowledge Management, Digital Research Technologies, and AI-Enabled Research Support. The incumbent serves as the principal technical authority responsible for establishing, maintaining, and advancing the digital research infrastructure necessary to support the Agency's mission and strategic objectives.
What You'll Do
- →As a Information Technology Specialist (Library & Research Services) (AI Specialist), GS-2210-14, your typical work assignments may include: Designing, engineering, and optimizing advanced AI prompts to conduct sophisticated legal, policy, technical, and historical research while developing enterprise-level standard operating procedures and internal best practices for research staff.
- →Advising attorneys and executives on search strategy, database selection, and authoritative sourcing, while ensuring all research outputs meet rigorous legal citation and documentation standards.
- →Providing expert troubleshooting and high-level system support for all digital library services and ensuring that disparate research platforms and discovery layers are interoperable.
- →Recommending improvements to workflows, content management, and information discovery, ensuring the library's digital portfolio evolves in alignment with modern technological trends and Agency strategic goals.
- →Designing and delivering Agency-wide training programs and providing strategic briefings and expert advice to executives, attorneys, and technical staff.
