This vacancy is being filled through the Office of Personnel Management's Direct Hire Authority. All applicants who meet the basic & minimum qualification requirements will be forwarded to the selecting official for consideration. This position is part of the, Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board & will be responsible to lead valuable risk analysis outputs & collaborate risk management activities.
What You'll Do
- →Develops plans, techniques, and metrics to improve the effectiveness of cybersecurity and privacy practices.
- →Make decisions that are data driven and recommend metrics that measure cybersecurity and privacy protection performance.
- →Works in collaboration with the CISO in developing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy for the agency, including leveraging DNFSB's cybersecurity and privacy program as a mission enabler.
- →Evaluates the impact of new cybersecurity guidance on current programs and recommends changes to existing policies and processes to ensure compliance and responsiveness.
- →Advises System Owners of risks to their systems and assisting System Owners in completing and maintaining the appropriate A&A documentation as per DNFSB security policies.
- →Assists System Owners in ensuring customer controls are fully implemented.
- →Provides leadership and managerial direction to subordinate staff responsible for routine cybersecurity operations.
- →Reviews deliverables for consistency and accuracy.
- →Makes recommendations for improvements to improve information security.
Requirements
- ✓US Citizenship is required.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, determined by background investigation.
- ✓Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- ✓Direct Deposit of pay is required.
- ✓Selective Service registration required for male applicants, unless exempt.
- ✓Education cannot be substituted for specialized experience at this series/grade level.
