The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with responsibility for security planning, coordinating, and overseeing the security during installation, testing, modifying, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the network and server hardware and software systems on the installation's network.
What You'll Do
- →DUTY 1: Performs services as Information Assurance Specialist and Squadron JWICS Information System Security Officer.
- →DUTY 2: Provides technical guidance and instructions to users and other IT specialists for the JWICS network.
- →DUTY 3: Serves as a technical advisor to management for JWICS.
- →Participates as a key member and advisor on special committees and special projects designed to study methods to enhance the use of information technology.
- →DUTY 4: Maintains liaison with manufacturers, professional organizations, and counterparts at other installations and services regarding available products and state-of-the-art technologies and advancements for JWICS.
- →DUTY 5: Performs other related IT work such as monitoring, testing, analyzing, maintaining and operating IT databases and software.
