This position is located with the Chief Information Office (CIO). The incumbent leads by example in defining a customer service culture to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and civility. Ensures that whenever possible, the CIO staff cultivates partnerships with our customers in developing solutions to meet their needs. . What You'll Do
- →Performs a variety of functions in a staff management environment involving the operations of IT systems with complex designs.
- →Performs special assignments and the establishment of internal policy, standards, and methodology.
- →Plans and coordinates short and long range plans.
- →Plans and carries out difficult and complex assignments and develops new methods, approaches, and procedures, and provides advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of IT issues.
- →Plans the work to be accomplished by the unit, assigns work to employees, and establishes production or quality standards for the unit’s work.
- →Establishes and communicates guidelines and performance requirements to employees; conducts formal performance reviews; and identifies and provides for the developmental and training needs of employees.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
- ✓Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

- ✓Subject to one year supervisory/managerial probationary period unless prior service is creditable.
- ✓New Forest Service supervisors must successfully complete all components of the required training program before the end of their probationary period.
