As an Information Technology Specialist within the Workplace & Collaboration Services (WCS) service line, part of the Operations Division within NASA OCIO, you will be responsible for providing customer-centric, innovative, efficient, and evolving IT services to enhance the productivity and collaboration of the NASA workforce. WCS offers collaboration, computer, mobile device, print, and helpdesk capabilities, as well as identity, credential, and access management services.
What You'll Do
- →Design, configure, and implement enterprise class computer system hardware and operating system software.
- →Support the development and implementation of short-term and long-range system and process improvement plans for NASA endpoints and end user services, ensuring that the changes can be implemented with minimal disruption.
- →Monitor day-to-day operations of the end user environment.
- →Recommend and prioritize solutions to ensure continued operation, and act as a technical expert in solving computer system problems.
- →Prepare and maintain architectural documentation, including system diagrams, specifications, and user guides.
- →Participate in system integration, migration, and modernization projects, and supporting the software development life cycle (SDLC), multiple project management methodologies, and version control (e.g., Git).
- →Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously enhancing data architecture to drive innovation and improvement.
