Serves as an Information Technology Specialist supporting NASA endpoint and end user services. Assists with the design, configuration, implementation, troubleshooting, and modernization of enterprise hardware, operating systems, and workplace services. Supports daily operations, technical documentation, system improvements, and customer support to help maintain secure, reliable, and effective end user computing services.
What You'll Do
- →Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised.
- →Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
- →Assist in the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-class computer hardware, operating systems, and end user services.
- →Support the development and implementation of short-term and long-term system and process improvement plans for NASA endpoints and end user services, ensuring that the changes can be implemented with minimal disruption.
- →Monitor daily operations of the end user environment and recommend solutions to maintain service availability and performance.
- →Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, process flows, specifications, and user guides.
- →Participate in system integration, migration, modernization, and deployment activities for end user computing services.
- →Analyze system issues, trends, and customer needs to recommend improvements to end user services and support processes.
- →Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and operating system issues in a multi-user environment.
- →Research emerging technologies and industry trends to support continuous improvement of endpoint services and workplace solutions.
Requirements
