Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Border Enforcement Management System Directorate located in Ashburn, VA. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

- →Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office Information and Technology will allow you to use your expertise designing, documenting and developing software applications.
- →This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).

- →In this Information Technology Specialist (Applications Software) position you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals to ensure that various Information Technology (IT) application software components.
- →Typical work assignments include: Translating and interpreting departmental Information Technology policies, standards and guidelines to agency-wide software design.
- →Evaluating and recommending adoption of new or enhanced approaches to deliver agency-wide software and IT services.
- →Managing information technology (IT) projects to ensure that developed solutions meet customer requirements.
- →Defining project scope and objectives based on customer requirements.
- →Overseeing the development, adaptation, and implementation of new application development methods and models that incorporate new technologies.
