  • This mission of OCIO is to enable delivery of HUD programs, services, and management processes by providing high-quality information technology (IT) solutions and services.
  • As a Information Technology Project Manager, you will: Serve as a senior IT PM to Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and OCIO leadership, providing authoritative guidance on enterprise strategy, portfolio integration, and IT investment oversight.
  • Represent Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in executive governance forums and milestone reviews with delegated authority to assess strategic alignment, performance, and compliance with Departmental and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requirements.
  • Advises senior leaders on cost, risk, schedule, and mission trade-offs, resolve complex cross-organizational issues, and ensures accountability and results across the IT portfolio.
  • Direct and integrate multiple concurrent, high-impact IT programs and projects with Department-wide and cross-agency scope, establishing portfolio priorities, sequencing, and interdependencies while balancing enterprise-level risk, cost, schedule, and performance outcomes.
  • Responsible for executable tasks that can be directly assigned, measured, and traced to performance elements, governance artifacts, and portfolio needs across Development Modernization and Enhancement (DME) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M).
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner, ensuring that IT investments deliver measurable value, improve operational efficiency, and support the Agency's long-term digital transformation objectives.

Requirements

  • The official duty station for this position will be in Alexandria, Virginia.
  • Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.
  • Key Requirements: Must be U.S.
  • Citizen or U.S.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
  • Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
