The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Information Systems Security Specialist with responsibility for security planning, coordinating, and overseeing the security during installation, testing, modifying, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the network and server hardware and software systems on the installation's Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications Systems.
What You'll Do
- →Performs services as Information Systems Security Officer and SAP Information System Security Officer.
- →Provides technical guidance and instructions to users and other IT specialists.
- →Serves as a technical advisor to management.
- →Maintains liaison with manufacturers, professional organizations, and counterparts at other installations and services regarding available products and state-of-the-art technologies and advancements.
Requirements
- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS.
- ✓This position is in the Excepted Service.
