This position works in support of the Aerospace Medical Certification Program reviewing airmen Electrocardiograms (ECGs) for technical and acute pathological problems.
What You'll Do
- →Performs a combination of routine, multiple and varying tasks/assignments under the general direction of a manager, project/program manager, or more experienced employee for the national FAA Aerospace Medical Certification Program to review airmen Electrocardiograms (ECGs) for technical and acute pathological problems.
- →Typically acts as a member of a team to assist other employees in day-to-day operations.
- →Applies experience and detailed knowledge to accomplish routine tasks/assignments.
- →Has a general understanding of how assignments contribute to organizational unit activities.
- →Demonstrates some independence in planning time, but frequently coordinates with a manager, project/program manager, or more experienced employee to prioritize tasks/assignments and use assigned resources.
- →May help managers and other employees identify resources to accomplish tasks/assignments and small projects.
- →Contacts are both internal and external to the organization.
- →Internal contacts across the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute, including Legal Instruments Examiners, Physicians, coworkers and managers to share information and status on tasks/assignments.
- →Prepares official correspondence to AME's and Airmen requesting additional information, which may include: requests for medical records, additional studies, eligibility letter, or other requests for additional information.
- →Established policies/procedures provide guidance for almost all tasks/assignments but allow some discretion for employee to select the most appropriate approach(es).
- →Works under general instructions provided by a manager, project/program manager, or more experienced employee.
- →Frequently refers problems and work issues to a manager or more experienced employee when guidelines are not available or applicable.
- →May help them develop and recommend solutions to some problems/issues.
- →Work is reviewed frequently during major stages of tasks/assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness and alignment with the requirements of projects and/or work activities.
