This position is located in the Office of Clinical Configuration, Clinical within Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) located in the Office of the Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs (DEPSECVA). The purpose of this position is to provide support to national health care management officials by analyzing, evaluating, advising on, and coordinating health care delivery systems and operations in relation to VA's Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation.
What You'll Do
- →Manages the improvement of multiple specialized business and clinical processes and workflows through the implementation and operations of the enterprise EHR.
- →Manages the development of new, innovative, and cutting-edge business/clinical workflows, best practice processes, directly impacting the efficiencies of business/clinical process improvements, within VA and the entire network of Veteran care providers.
- →The work of this position is paramount in identifying and resolving workload inefficiencies within VA, serves as a catalyst for an enterprise paradigm shift, and a standard for business/clinical process improvement advancements throughout VA and its many partners and stakeholders.
- →Interfaces with customers, in specialized business/clinical areas, to diagnose business/clinical related business problems and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- →Advises Electronic Health Record Council (EHRC) and provides recommendations and solutions for maximizing efficiencies and business/clinical workflows, as well as policy implications and discrepancies.
- →Uses expert knowledge of organizational structure and health care standards to resolve conflicts in policies and program guidance.
- →Applies extensive knowledge in analyzing business processes and information management needs of medical organizations and knowledge of VA information systems to identify other groups or disciplines that may be impacted by the business process under study and coordinate their involvement either as a consortium (multiple stakeholders sharing a similar need) or as technologists.
- →Overcomes cultural resistance to change and adapts to VA policy and regulatory compliance, changes, and challenges to develop business/clinical workflow solutions for vastly unique and specialized business/clinical environments.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- →Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- →Compressed/Flexible: May be authorized based supervisory discretion.
- →Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
