This position is in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM IO), within the Office of the Deputy Secretary of VA (DEPSECVA). The incumbent serves as a highly skilled and experienced clinical informatics who supports national health care management officials by analyzing, evaluating, advising on and coordinating health care delivery systems and operations in relation to sustainment of VA's new EHR after implementation.
What You'll Do
- →Guide the evolution of clinical software and processes by ensuring clinical software are available for staff use in addition to training on these programs.
- →Provide communication channels to clinical and business teams to support deployment, sustainment, and optimization efforts nationally.
- →Use qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of organizations to assist in measuring benefits of recommended solutions.
- →Ensure that patient care technology is effectively and efficiently integrated into the clinical workflow by partnering on the planning and deployment of medical devices and staff training in clinical areas.
- →Apply extensive knowledge in analyzing business processes and information management needs of medical organizations to identify other groups or disciplines that may be impacted by the business process under study.
- →Carry out systems analysis studies in support of clinical business workflow processes and other work related to continuous improvement and establishment of best business practices in a proactive and independent manner.
- →Adapts software and emerging technologies to optimize the delivery of care through effective education and communication.
- →Perform activities that support the management and delivery of educational experiences using information solutions and technology in all areas of healthcare.
