About the Role
This position is located in the Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO), within the Office of the Deputy Secretary of VA (DEPSECVA), where the incumbent serves as a Health Systems Specialist. The position supports the executive leadership team members with initiating and maintaining a wide variety of assignments supporting external strategic partnerships and empowering VA staff throughout the enterprise, including efforts of a sensitive and confidential nature.
What You'll Do
- →Duties of the Health System Specialist includes, but not limited to: Conducts analysis of program performance against projected milestones and outcomes, evaluates performance indicators, reports to management on findings & recommendations, and prepares reports.
- →Develops program performance metrics and evaluation tools for program control effectiveness.
- →Conducts studies to determine validity of analytic processes, including performance management algorithms.
- →Manages a wide variety of non-routine and unrelated projects.
- →Determines the approach, methods, and prioritization of project completion.
- →Participates in policy and planning deliberations by gathering relevant data and information through extensive literature searches and database analysis.
- →Advises senior healthcare executives of process improvement practices.
- →Monitors progress of operations and adjusts as necessary.
- →Ensures the timely execution of unscheduled and high priority projects or assignments.
- →Work Schedule: Mon - Fri; 8:00am - 4:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
