About the Role
The Health Science Specialist works in full partnership with the Chief of Research in the management and administration of the Research Service at the Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System (EOVAHCS). This position plays a vital role in supporting the day to day operations of research and assists the Chief of Research in the planning and execution of tasks required meet the demands of a growing research program and ensure efficient operation of the program.
What You'll Do
- →Identifies needed information, gathers the information, and maintains organized information repositories and information management systems.
- →Works with various agency organizations to establish and communicate goals, and ensure the the goals are met by the research staff.
- →Develops both long and short-range policies and plans for a research program.
- →Serves on strategic planning committees and participates in on-site management meetings with other program officials.
- →Coordinates relevant training and continuing education for staff including training topics such as ethics, privacy, and safety governing research.
- →Advises on project submission requirements, grant management and research project budget execution.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements
