As a Hardware Division Director, you will direct the Hardware Division, leading staff, setting priorities, and managing operations to meet program goals and improve business practices. Also serve as senior technical authority, providing expert guidance on complex IT hardware issues. Location of position: Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Office of Acquisition Solution Development. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
What You'll Do
- →Directs and manages the work of the Division.
- →Organizes and plans staff work assignments, develops work plans for approved goals and objectives, ensures implementation of goals and objectives and determines optimal approaches and solutions for long range program needs.
- →Uses technical leadership, creativity and judgment, sets objectives, oversees research and analysis, and devises innovative ways to solve problems of major importance to the agency.
- →Monitors technical aspects of broad programmatic issues to ensure successful completion, recommending changes or solutions to problems or redirection of effort as required.
- →Establishes metrics to measure and evaluate the Division's performance.
- →Develops needs analysis to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions and consults with senior management officials to identify specific requirements.
- →Serves as subject matter expert and Agency spokesman on IT hardware category management as well as the program areas within the assigned category.
- →Serves on agency, interagency and technical society committees of national importance as a recognized authority in IT hardware category management.
Requirements
- ✓If selected, you must meet the following conditions: Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
- ✓If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C or NonCareer SES employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the HR Office.
- ✓Failure to disclose this information could result in disciplinary action including removal from Federal Service.
- ✓Complete a financial disclosure report to verify that no conflict, or an appearance of conflict, exists between your financial interest and this position.
- ✓Serve a one year supervisory or managerial probationary period, if required.
- ✓Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 4 investigation level).
- ✓This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
- ✓US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island) Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable Register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959
