About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. These positions are located with the Joint Interagency Task Force South, U.S. Southern Command, Key West, FL, 33040 J6. What You'll Do
- →Serves as a Hardware and Software Technician - IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) within the Directorate of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C41) Systems, Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATFS), Truman Annex, Key West, FL.
- →Conduct information assurance activities on information systems such as application of security patches.
- →Provide technical expertise on system operations, hardware, and a wide variety of applications and programs.
- →Perform system administration duties on a large network of computers with wide area network access.
- →Install application software for maintenance of system configuration files.
