This position is part of the NNSA - Office of Secure Transportation, Department of Energy. As a Command Director of Agent Operations Central Command (AOCC), you are responsible for managing the movement, distribution, and safe and secure transportation of nuclear weapons, components, and materials from points of manufacture, storage, or use, to authorized destinations within the U.S. nuclear weapons complex via ground and/or air transportation services.
What You'll Do
- →Ensure DOT, NRC, DoD and NNSA policy and/or procedural compliance as it applies to air and ground transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- →Effective solutions are critical to the safe and secure transportation mission and paramount in the timely completion of customer needs.
- →Plan, coordinate and schedule resources and activities to ensure that effective utilization of all available assets (i.e., vehicles, aircraft, and personnel) are integrated into a single, cohesive, and effective operational plan.
- →Develop and direct the implementation of delivery schedules.
- →Develop an itinerary and trip manifests for the movement of non-nuclear material.
- →Perform technical and administrative supervision over highly complex, multi-mission work.
- →Plan work to be completed by employees, set and adjust short-term priorities, assign work based on priorities and employee capabilities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
- →Represent OST in coordination meetings with integrated contractors, design laboratories, various NNSA divisions, DoD, and Defense Threat Reduction Agency management officials, which includes addressing such areas as packaging and shipping container issues affecting multiple programs.

- ✓Must be able to obtain/maintain a Q level Security Clearance.
