This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the CASCOM Engineer representing the Commanding General on all matters related to Engineering and Facilities, working under the general administrative supervision of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G1/4.
What You'll Do
- →Manages operations in the development of multidisciplinary scientific methodologies and procedures related to CASCOM engineering and facilities programs.
- →Serves as the CASCOM Engineer for all Military Construction (MILCON) Programs.
- →Manage engineer resource programs, including military construction, Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (SRM), classification, internal controls, historical reports, project management, audits, review and analysis, and various other actions.
- →Responsible for MILCON, BRAC and Re-stationing projects.
- →Participates in the construction execution of projects on CASCOM activities, develops construction requirements associated with DA base realignment and special studies.
- →Applies extensive knowledge of a wide variety of technical, professional and managerial Engineering concepts to the construction activities of the Command and individual installations.
- →Directs appropriate consolidation and evaluates operations performance and costs based on program schedules, comparative analysis and known field conditions which may result in fund obligation disparities.
- →Recommends technical plans, objectives and undertakings which will provide more effective use of resources (i.e., funds, facilities, equipment and expertise).
- →Reviews Master Plans for conformance with all technical and regulatory requirements and makes recommendations for the Commander’s approval.
