You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC NORTHWEST. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12956077-26-TBS. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the FRCS (ICS/AMI) program manager for the planning development, deployment and support of FRCS (ICS/AMI) systems and other integrated systems as they develop.
- →You will provide consultation and systems recommendations on metering, engineering, communications solutions, network architecture, cyber security, and metering software applications.
- →You will conduct programmatic assessments including technical and business process analysis, business case analysis, performance metrics, operations and maintenance standards, and integration of facilities and utilities interfaces.
- →You will assist higher-graded employees, individually or as a team member, by performing procedural and technical work in support of the overall work of the organization.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
