This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. What You'll Do
- →You will act as technical subject matter expert across related engineering fields for all technical matters in development, qualification, integration and transition to production.
- →You will provide technical assessment, fact-finding and information reporting (written reports and presentations) throughout product life cycle.
- →You will monitor development and production metrics (schedule, cost, technical), exercise sound judgment and advise leadership concerning the accuracy, completeness and risk associated with the data.
- →You will identify gaps in resources, available information, or deviation from performance to plan objectives, and recommend approaches for mitigating risk and resolving problems.
- →You will assist with the development of technical process instructions, standard operating procedures and plans related to product development, production and in-service projects.
- →You will exercise leadership, mentorship, and management of other engineers assigned to the projects
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
