You will serve as the PMA-266 Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering for the development and integration of Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance payloads for MQ-9 Marine Air Ground Task Force Unmanned Aircraft System Expeditionary-Medium Altitude, Long Endurance. You will serve as a General Engineer in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, AIR PLATFORM SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
What You'll Do
- →You will develop project planning objectives for engineering development of current and long range programs.
- →You will develop or direct development of contract engineering specifications which define system requirements and parameters.
- →You will ensure all technical and engineering requirements of the program are met including quality assurance reliability, maintainability, system compatibility, safety engineering, etc.
- →You will review and evaluate ECPs for accuracy and feasibility, and advises as to the technical aspects.
- →You will maintain continuous contact with research and development personnel in order to be informed on all new engineering and scientific developments which might be applied in the design of the assigned weapon system project.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
