The primary purpose of the full performance work level is to serve as a Ballistic Missile Systems Intelligence Analyst responsible for scientific and technical assessments of the characteristics, capabilities, employment, limitations and effectiveness of current and future foreign long-range, land-based ballistic missiles, operations and facilities via all-source data analysis.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of the entry/developmental work level is to perform assignments designed to further progress applicable analytical and evaluative skills and techniques.
- →The complexity of the work will gradually increase throughout the training path, leading to requiring greater independent judgment and decision ability.
- →The incumbent(s) will perform the duties and responsibilities described in this position description under supervision due to a lack of knowledge and experience necessary to perform at the target full performance level.
- →All required training must be completed and regulatory requirements met prior to promotion to the next target grade.
- →The incumbent(s) must be performing at the "Successful" level or above, as defined in DoDI 1400.25, Volume 2011 prior to promotion.
- →DUTY 2: Employs scientific and engineering principles to plan, analyze, and evaluate engineering and technical efforts used to define system/subsystem requirements, translate requirements into design criteria, assess alternative design approaches, and develop system specifications.
- →DUTY 3: Provides support to customers including briefings, tours, ad hoc taskings, foreign exchanges, working groups, conferences, and/or other relevant forums as deemed appropriate by Principal Intelligence Analyst (PIA), Senior Intelligence Analyst (SIA), and Flight Director.
- →DUTY 4: Provides enterprise leadership through developing production plans and project scope proposals to maximize efficiency.
- →DUTY 5: Keeps abreast of worldwide state-of-the-art and emerging technology in assigned technical areas.
- →Applies emerging technology and business practices to develop and implement a course of action, validate and direct resources, and integrate logistics and/or acquisition functions to implement plans.

- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS.
