About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a General Engineer at the JSMC - Lima.
What You'll Do
- →Possess knowledge of a broad range of professional engineering concepts, principles, practices, techniques, and methods in building design and construction process.
- →Interpret federal policies, regulations, and building codes related to design, construction, and commissioning of building systems.
- →Oversee contractor engineering staff in achieving its facility maintenance objectives in support of the organizational mission.
- →Perform engineering analysis on production and facility issues related to current and future production capacity needs.
- →Perform technical analysis of cost proposals (TACPs) pertaining to new contracts.
- →Evaluate the contractor’s performance and engineering approaches for technical adequacy, compatibility with program objectives, and satisfaction of contractual requirements.
- →Assure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and permitting for construction activities.
