The primary purpose of this position is this position is a systems engineer and program manager who uses his/her engineering and program management expertise in support of the acquisition and fielding highly complex and advanced sensors and sensor systems for warfighter and national users.
What You'll Do
- →The technical complexity of the assigned program/projects and/or managerial principles to develop programs or projects, which are state of the art involving leading edge technologies.
- →Develops, reviews, and analyses plans, programs and time-based schedules.
- →Provides management and acquisition guidance when performance characteristics, scheduling requirements, and cost baselines may not met.
- →Assesses trade-offs and coordinates modification of user requirements.
- →Develops and implements program support agreement with appropriate government and external organizations.
- →Coordinate with various agencies to ensure the necessary functions of support to the program/project are on schedule and meeting goals and milestones.
- →Reviews and directs the progress of contractors in meeting program objectives.
- →Applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering and acquisition support functions to the systems acquisition process in order to lead the organization's objective of delivering products within an 18-month period or less and to provide a single point of interface to the customer.
- →Leads the initiation/development of programs to advance the state of the art by developing unique capabilities in critical RF sensing technologies for the organization.
- →Provides oversight and guidance for an integrated product development team for all aspects of Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation (RDT &E).
- →Manages multiple programs for the organization, determining the goals and objectives that need emphasis, developing measures that evaluate performance, making recommendations for program improvement, managing resources, and assuring implementation by subordinate organizations and operating units.
- →Identifies and resolves issues where no policy exists, taking innovative actions to address new needs and/or issues.
