About the Role

As the Space Reactors Lead Contracting Officer's Representative/Agreements Manager, you will lead acquisition planning and execution activities supporting space fission system missions. You will coordinate procurement, legal, and technical stakeholders to support timely acquisitions, contractor performance, and mission objectives while ensuring alignment with NASA and Department of Energy acquisition policies and regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Formulates detailed acquisition strategies aligned with NASA, FAR, and Department of Energy policies for the develop space fission systems for both in-space and surface applications.
  • Develop statements of work, define resource requirements, and projects cost and completion objectives.
  • Develop policies/objectives; define evaluation and appraisal systems; participate in negotiations; evaluate contractor performance.
  • Perform multiple management functions which may include: planning, design, test and evaluation, cost analyses, program and project management, quality management for projects.
  • Manage/evaluate contractor efforts/assesses progress in relation to schedule/resources.
  • Report progress and/or problems, direct changes, resolve problems, ensure conformance to plans/specifications, and assist where deficiencies are noted.
  • Provide programmatic guidance to core and matrixed project support personnel and engineers, contractors, and technical support staff assigned to space flight systems projects.

Requirements

  • If you did not complete a qualifying bachelor's degree, you may be eligible if you have obtained a graduate degree in an AST qualifying field, as listed above.
  • Degrees in engineering technology are not considered qualifying for this position.
