About the Role

The Command, Control Communications (C3) division of the Exploration Ground Systems program is seeking a Deputy Project Manager and an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead who will execute the full range of ground systems project management and communication operation duties for the assigned projects within the respective Program C3 Office.

What You'll Do

  • Project Manager for Command Control Communications (C3) project and executes the full range of communications and software development and operations project management.
  • Communicates and integrates technical requirements within project teams and leads activities delegated by the C3 Project Manager Prepares and presents recurring status to Program management, including technical, budget, schedule, and risk.
  • Ensures execution and integration of performance expectations for the different phases of development and sustaining projects, including insight/oversight and evaluation of contractors' performance in these activities.
  • Determines, analyzes, presents, defends, and manages project resources, schedules and risks to the NASA C3 Project Manager and Program management.
  • Serves as liaison between design and operations.
  • Oversees the planning and establishment for design and development of proposed development technology, hardware components, systems, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Provides requirements, design, and overall development consultation and system assessments for complex technical hardware and software.
  • Implements an effective and efficient process for information flow to the other team members, project managers, office chief, and other stakeholders within the program.
  • Monitors and evaluates contractor performance in the execution of C3 operations, development, sustaining and integration activities.

Requirements

  • If you did not complete a qualifying bachelor's degree, you may be eligible if you have obtained a graduate degree in an AST qualifying field, as listed above.
  • Degrees in engineering technology are not considered qualifying for this position.
