This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & MRTFB in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and -operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813.
What You'll Do
- →Prepares documents for the development of construction packages.
- →Researches and prepares project development and detailed paragraph justifications for projects.
- →Projects involve determining total project considerations such as alternatives, cost economic analysis, feasibility, need, job requirements, budget, etc.
- →Modifies or makes compromises with standard methods to insure the validity of projects and the installation mission capability.
- →Monitors, coordinates, reviews, assess the technical adequacy of plans, provides specification requirements for major projects.
- →Reviews and coordinates design analysis, cost estimates, and specifications for complex structures based on very broad and general guidance from the user.
- →Monitors contract activity to assure compliance with contract provisions and standards.
