About the Role
About the Position: Serves on the staff of the Engineering Division with responsibility for Carroll FOS engineering studies, programs, and projects. Assignments are multi-disciplinary in nature, to include elements from the disciplines of architecture, community planning and engineering. What You'll Do
- →Recommends solutions to complex planning, repair, and construction problems related to conflicting factors of land use, development proposals, socioeconomic effects, user requirements, building code requirements, and environmental constraints.
- →Prepares estimates for use in budgeting to execute planning, engineering, design and construction services.
- →Prepares correspondence, technical reports, estimates, fact sheets, budgets, status reports, and schedules to complete assignments.
- →Prepares, or directs preparation of, plans, design, construction, contracts, and coordinates draft proposals.
- →Reviews and evaluates work performed under contracts for accuracy, for adequacy, for completeness, and for conformity with contract requirements, and makes suggestions designed to improve the product.
- →Conducts, or directs the conduct of, investigations of project sites to determine feasibility of proposed project; and (for additions, repairs, and renovations) condition of existing structure and essential data prior to initiating design.
- →Reviews project specs, drawings, and reports to ensure OMA and MCA construction program progresses IAW approved project priorities, policies, laws, regulations, the Installation Design Guide, and the Installation Master Plan.
