General Attorney (Labor) (Senior Field Attorney)

About the Role
This position is established in a Regional or Subregional Office of the General Counsel and reports directly to the Regional Director or to their designee. The Senior Attorney is responsible for handling large, high profile, or extremely complex investigations and litigation of both unfair labor practice and representation cases at all stages of processing and/or other difficult assignments as assigned.
What You'll Do
- →As a General Attorney (Labor) (Senior Field Attorney), GS-0905-15, your typical work assignments may include: Collecting and reviewing relevant evidence in the electronic case file, including affidavits, position statements and other correspondence, memos, transcripts, decisional documents, exhibits, decisions and orders.
- →Conducting research and case review to formulate strategies on cases that are often novel, without precedent, and/or require considerable interpretation of law, and demand a high degree of original and creative legal endeavor.
- →Providing guidance to attorneys in resolving highly complex case issues and representing the team in dealing with high-level Agency officials.
- →Rendering legal advice, counsel, and opinions, orally and in writing, including recommendations to the Regional Director and/or their designee.
- →Serving as the Regional Office liaison or representative on intra-Agency committees and subcommittees, such as training and outreach as well as conduct informational roundtables on topics of specialized knowledge.
- →Communicating to staff members issues to be solved, actionable events, and milestones, and assisting with adherence to deadlines and time frames for completion.
