About the Role
This position is located in the Division of Advice, which includes the Regional Advice and Injunction Litigation Branches. The Regional Advice Branch provides legal guidance to Regional Offices on complex or novel unfair labor practice cases, cases involving new policy creation, or other cases requiring General Counsel attention. The Injunction Litigation Branch oversees initiating and litigating temporary injunction proceedings under Sections 10(j) and 10(l) of the NLRA.
What You'll Do
- →As a General Attorney (Labor) (Attorney), GS-0905-12, your typical work assignments may include: Drafting memoranda and other documents on behalf of the Organization's Leadership setting forth the decisions of managers and /or Agency Leadership and memoranda to the Board requesting authorization to seek 10(j) injunctions.
- →Making recommendations concerning the propriety of taking appeals from adverse decisions of federal district courts in Section 10(G) or 10(1) cases.
- →Evaluating and making recommendations regarding the institution of contempt proceedings against respondents allegedly violating injunction orders.
- →Preparing memoranda authorizing or denying authorization to proceed in contempt, and. handles appeal of contempt orders.
- →Performing other duties as assigned.
