About the Role
This position is located in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), General Law and Operations Department (GLOD), General Litigation and Employment Law Division (GLELD), at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC).
What You'll Do
- →Investigate, apply advanced and complex legal research, and prepare complex and/or sensitive cases for litigation and represent the Corporation before courts, arbitrators and administrative bodies.
- →Guide, direct, and coordinate, with effective comprehensive communication with the Assistant General Council (AGC) and senior leaders, teams of attorneys in large and/or complex cases and other program matters and provides comprehensive oversight and review of work performed by other GLELD attorneys.
- →Serve as a leading substantive authority in one or more assigned technical fields, such as procurement, labor and employment, fiscal law, ethics, appropriations, and employer liability matters.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must possess a J.D. degree from a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).
- ✓In addition to the education requirement, you must currently be a member in good standing of the bar of a State, a Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- ✓Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S.
