About the Role

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! What You'll Do

  • Provides physical fitness training to authorized patrons to include: Active Duty, Retirees, Family Members and Department of Defense (DoD) Civilian employees.
  • Organizes and conducts physical fitness assessments to include: screening and risk stratification, measurement and evaluation of an individual¿s aerobic capacity, body fat percentage, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, blood pressure, and interpretation of assessment results.
  • Provides individualized exercise plans.
  • Provides instruction and consultation on proper exercise techniques to individual and groups, and implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive fitness program to improve aerobic fitness, muscular fitness, body composition and flexibility.
  • Instructs patrons in proper use of exercise equipment while training and how to self-monitor progress either verbally or by composing written instructions for use of equipment, safety and well-being.
  • Coordinates with command representatives to develop and implement physical fitness programming for Active Duty military personnel.
  • Incumbent will work with populations deemed to be healthy, with no health risk factors, and who were not referred by a physician.
  • May register patrons, collect exercise fees, and maintain attendance and appropriate accounting records.
  • Assists in cleaning and maintaining exercise equipment in proper condition.
  • Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.
  • Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
  • Takes action to solve problems quickly.
  • Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
