The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) serves as the IT hub of the U.S. Department of Labor. - →This position is located in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Directorate of the Administration, Business Management, and Governance (ABMG), Fiscal Operations Branch.
- →ABMG oversees the annual budget for IT investments, managing OCIO financial operations, and ensuring proper accounting and reporting of funds.
- →Major duties for the GS-12 include, but are not limited to: Assist in interpreting and analyzing financial data from prior and current years to establish requirements and promote efficient resource utilization.
- →Prepare requests for apportionments, allotments, allocations, and operating budgets in compliance with OMB, Treasury, GAO, GSA, and DOL policies and procedures.
- →Analyze task orders and contract modification requests to determine costs and their impact on respective contract funds.
- →Recommend reprogramming of funds as needed and prepares spreadsheets for funding projections and task orders.
- →Oversee requests for purchases and contract modifications, ensuring compliance with DOL policies and proper utilization of carry-over funds when available.
- →Prepare various reports, written analyses, and recommendations on programmatic and budgetary matters for the OCIO.
