About the Position: Serve as the authority in fire prevention, fire protection, and life safety engineering responsible for the design and review of plans for numerous construction programs and technical accuracy and adequacy of the fire prevention, fire protection, and life safety features of the designs.
What You'll Do
- →Review studies, scopes of work, and design plans for technical accuracy, compliance with fire prevention, protection, and life safety, and feasibility, clarity, and consistency with other engineering features.
- →Prepare design analysis of plan layouts, design computations, selection of materials, components, and equipment that may be incorporated into the design.
- →Provide expert technical guidance on the interpretation, rationale and applicability of codes, standards, regulations, design criteria, and other material in the area of fire prevention, fire protection, and life safety as they apply to the designs.
- →Visit construction sites to investigate and resolve problems which arise during the course of construction.
- →Participate in technical analyses of potential A-E liability claims
Requirements
- ✓ACCREDITATION: Education must be accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education for the education to be credited towards qualifications.
