What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing substantive legal support to the Eastern District of Arkansas.
- →Typical work assignments include: Serving as a technician in the area of financial litigation and is responsible for directly and independently supporting Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) by providing a wide variety of technical assistance services.
- →Performing a wide range of technical support duties involving the processing of cases within the financial litigation function.
- →Using a variety of automated systems to conduct research, initiate documents for debt collection actions and track debtor accounts.
- →Using common online resources, obtains and analyzes routine financial information on debtors to determine their present and future potential ability to pay.
- →Communicating with debtors to present options for debt payments, answering questions, explaining pertinent procedures, clarifying information, and working cases to resolution.
- →Preparing payment plans which involve reviewing financial asset information the debtor has submitted.
- →Performing periodic internal control audits of financial litigation and debt collection case records to ensure accuracy of program operations.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
