The position is located in Las Vegas, NV at the WCPAC. organizationally aligned under the Chief Financial Officer, in the Accounts Management department. The CPAC is a regionally consolidated business entity established to enhance revenue within VHA using an industry-best model built on regional management of key aspects of the revenue cycle, process standardization, accountability, and economies of scale for 18 VISNs and over 135 VAMCs nationally, including US territories.
What You'll Do
- →***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL OR REMOTE POSITION.
- →SELECTEE WILL BE EXPECTED TO REPORT TO THE DESIGNATED VHA SITE.*** Duties include, but are not limited to: Reviews, researches, analyzes all accounts receivable records and documentation, to ensure all data maintained is accurate, current and proper based on Agency regulations, policies, Federal Laws and Directives.
- →Reviews and analyzes case information, remittance statements from the third party payer and others, and the accounts receivable record relating to the debt, the Debtor, for making a recovery determination which protects the interest of the Government.
- →Reviews and analyzes account information, interviews and obtains remittance statements, court orders, legal documents, insurance benefit coverage information to determine the best course of action.
- →Uses judgment and experience to reconstruct incomplete files, devise more efficient methods for procedural processing, gather and organize information for inquiries and resolve a variety of problems.
- →Details discrepancy and returns incomplete or discrepant information to requester for clarification.
- →Works independently and is responsible for all collection functions.
- →Maintains account receivable supporting documentation.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Compressed/Flexible: May be available at supervisor's discretion Telework: This position may be authorized for ad hoc telework.
