About the Role

The Facilities Program Manager position is in the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), Department of Administrative Services, Facilities and Security Office (FSO), Program Management Branch. FSO manages, oversees, and supports security, emergency preparedness, and space and facilities programs for the AO, courts, and other judiciary offices. FSO also provides administrative services within the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building.

What You'll Do

  • The Administrative Office of the U.S.
  • Courts, Department of Administrative Services, Facilities and Security Office (FSO), Space and Facilities Division (SFD), Program Management Branch is seeking a dynamic, high-energy, and exceptional Facilities Program Manager to join its team.
  • The Facilities Program Manager advises court and SFD officials on space and facilities matters related to judiciary's government-owned and leased buildings.
  • This position reports to the SFD Chief.
  • The ideal candidate must possess outstanding diplomacy, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills and experience working collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Supporting multiple initiatives, including the Courthouse Construction Program and the ongoing efforts to optimize the judiciary's facilities portfolio space utilization.
  • Working directly with a multi-disciplinary team chartered to create plans related to the pursuit of expanded authority over real property housing the judiciary.
  • Planning and analyzing internal and external data requests.
  • Supporting the creation of new intra- and inter-agency business processes to support space and facilities programs.
  • Assisting in the collection and coordination of information during the development of plans and processes and communicating with court stakeholders during planning activities.

  • All new AO employees are required to identify a financial institution for direct deposit of pay before appointment.
  • You will be required to serve a trial period if selected for a first-time appointment to the Federal government, transferring from another Federal agency, or serving as a first-time supervisor.
  • Failure to successfully complete the trial period may result in termination of employment.
  • If appointed to a temporary position, management may have the discretion of converting the position to permanent depending upon funding and staffing allocation.
  • This position does not require education to qualify.
