About the Role
The Executive Director, Strategic Infrastructure Investment (SII) Division position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), DHS Headquarters, Management Directorate, Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer (OCRSO).
What You'll Do
- →The Executive Director, Strategic Infrastructure Investment Division, ensures DHS-wide workplace focuses on infrastructure transformation, specifically within the workplace realm, while enabling DHS to continue addressing the deferred maintenance and facility transformation requirements backlog.
- →Specific responsibilities include: Coordinates with Component agencies and across DHS and Management Directorate business lines in accomplishing the Department's overall mission, aligning with Departmental priorities.
- →Works in collaboration with Components via the Component Chief Administrative Officers (CCAOs) and OCRSO leadership to prioritize projects and devise strategies for executing small facility repairs.
- →Leads the development of strategies to establish policies and manage national programs aimed at improving lifecycle facility and logistics operations across the Department.
- →Oversees policies, regulations, and standards to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of mission support capabilities, including identifying opportunities for DHS to reduce duplication, overlap, and redundancy.
- →Ensures a transparent, collaborative process and accountable governance.
- →Oversees the nation-wide Departmental facilities transformation fund and non-recurring expenses fund.
- →Manages DHS's Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funding across DHS.
- →Oversees the DHS Nonrecurring Expenses Fund (NEF) for, facilities infrastructure improvements.
- →These operations include setting the strategic guidelines, principles and process as well overseeing and managing the execution of the projects to meet the strategic direction of the account.
- →Assesses the impact of Presidential guidance, new legislative requirements, and similar external factors while taking action to satisfy requirements and improve operational performance.
- →Monitors, evaluates, and measures the impact of programs and policies in response to legislative changes or statutory reporting requirements.
- →Recommends courses of action to the CRSO/DCRSO and has full responsibility and authority to determine policies, plans, and goals.
- →As a recognized authority, assures that adequate management controls are in place and effectively employed to prevent waste, fraud, mismanagement, and abuse.
