About the Role

Serves as Executive Director for Economic Security and Financial Intelligence (ESFI) in the Office of Intelligence and Analysis (OIA). Provides strategic leadership to advance national security and protect financial integrity. Oversees intelligence production, assesses economic and financial threats, coordinates with partners, and ensures timely, accurate analysis informs Treasury decisions.

What You'll Do

  • The Executive Director, ESFI performs the following duties: Oversees the formulation and implementation of programs, plans, and policies that impact Treasury's security activities and interests, including supporting the Secretary's requirements for intelligence analysis on economic security and financial intelligence issues.
  • Oversees and manages tactical and strategic analytic efforts, ensuring OIA's production is timely, relevant, accurate, and aligned with Departmental and U.S.
  • Government priorities and goals.
  • Reviews all ESFI analytic products and develops an analytic cadre that maintains the highest standards of intelligence tradecraft, using various forums to strengthen analytic quality and customer support.
  • Develops ESFI analytic managers and supervisors, ensuring they are properly trained to lead and drive analysis and effectively develop the workforce.
  • Responsible for performance management, coaching, and counseling of the analytic workforce, and for evaluating and appraising the performance of managers and supervisors.
  • Seeks out all sources of information on developments affecting Treasury Department actions, policies, and procedures, serving as a principal substantive advisor to the Assistant Secretary and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary on intelligence matters, particularly economic security and financial intelligence issues.
  • Oversees ESFI efforts to provide analysis and oversight of networks and activities supporting illicit actors, including terrorist organizations, WMD proliferators, money launderers, hostile states, and associated entities.
  • Strengthens coordination and collaboration between OIA, Treasury components, and the U.S.
  • Intelligence Community.
  • Represents OIA in meetings with other offices, departments, agencies, Congressional delegations, and private sector and public counterparts, including at National Intelligence Boards (NIBs) and other analytic forums.
