About the Position: The U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY is an academic institution located in the Hudson River Valley, 50 miles from New York City. The historic site is the oldest continuously occupied military post in America. West Point is a self-contained city with housing, a Department of Public Works, libraries, hospital, fire department, chapels, and restaurants. Employees have access to Eisenhower Hall Theater, Hudson Valley's performing arts center, and recreational facilities.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as the event and engagement coordinator and office administrator for the Directorate of Academy Advancement (DAA).
- →Responsible for execution of events, to include, working closely with U.S Military Academy (USMA) leaders, alumni, and contractors during event execution phases, and overseeing all aspects of event execution.
- →Brief event attendees on event-specific details, and address issues as they occur during events.
- →Responsible for key control, timecards, telephone rosters, etc.
- →Assist with processing official travel, Temporary Duty (TDY), utilizing systems, such as, Defense Travel System (DTS).
- →Order office supplies and equipment with a Government Purchase Card (GPC).
- →Use Microsoft Office for Word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
